What you'll discover will be yourself.” ~ Alan Alda Creative Space is a homebirth midwifery practice in Portland, Oregon. We work with families throughout the childbearing year, providing complete prenatal, birth and postpartum care.   The birth of a new baby is miraculous, beautiful and life-changing for every family. We believe that a quiet, calm, and distraction-free environment can allow for a more efficient and peaceful birth and that our work is to help hold that space for women. We love the work we do. Being with women during the birth year is a privilege that we are honored to be part of—even at three in the morning! As we see it, our most important job is simply to be there to remind you that you truly have everything that you need to bring that new life into the world. We hope our website can serve as a simple introduction to us and to our midwifery practice. It will likely answer many questions and perhaps inspire a few more.
